Network Analyst

Job Summary:

This is a key role in maintaining CHP's company-wide hardware and software systems and support its growing infrastructure. Lead technical resource providing server/desktop management and support, IT project management and able to manage support from IT vendors. 



  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a network or systems administrator
  • MS Office 365, Exchange and their administration
  • Disaster recovery planning, testing and implementation
  • IT security, including authentication and encryption
  • Data center operations, including backup and restore procedures
  • Firewall configuration and management
  • VMware, understanding of Virtualized Multi-host clustering
  • Microsoft SharePoint Online a plus (supporting SharePoint systems)
  • Server administration for Microsoft SQL Server Management and IIS
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Secure VPN and Gateway configuration experience
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technology
  • Passion for learning new tools and technologies
  • Strong analytical skills to support effective business decisions for continued growth and prosperity 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with multiple priorities, sometimes under limited time constraints  
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive working relationship with others.
  • Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including senior level executives, managers, supervisors and subject matter experts
  • Systems research and analysis skills
  • Ability to write and present business intelligence documentation
  • Demonstrate the ability to stay current on IT threats and vulnerabilities

General Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Help Desk support backing up current staff
  • Manage and monitor file transfers (including EDI), using SFTP file transfer and CHP https file uploads, between CHP and clients/business partners
  • Provides vendor support of data center management including expansion due to company growth and disaster recovery processes
  • Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
  • Orients and trains new CHP employees to IT Help Desk, network and desktop environment
  • Assist in the coordination of LuminX log (i.e. patches) process (internal and external)
  • Supports the maintenance of a CHP IT Operations Calendar
  • Execute recurring file exchanges for Medicare Section 111, FairHealth (R&C data), etc., as scheduled on CHP IT Operations Calendar
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Centrally manage virus control software and asset management software
  • Administration of PBX phone systems
  • Responsible for HIPAA security and compliance protocols
  • Support Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services
  • Work on multiple projects with multiple responsibilities
  • Provide support to the IT Department and participate in cross training to broaden skills, talents and the team environment
  • Other duties as assigned
