What information do we collect?

On some Wellfleet web site pages, you may request information, which requires a response. We may ask for information when you register for a service or order products from our online catalog. About “Sessions” and “Cookies”

Wellfleet utilizes session variables on some transactions, such as enrollment confirmation, to enable users to utilize this website.  A “session” is a server-side storage of information that operates during your interaction with the Wellfleet website or Wellfleet programs.  During a session your computer would store only the “session id” allowing more significant information to be stored on the Wellfleet server. When your browser is closed this session’s information disappears. It is not stored here or on your pc or mobile device.

A “cookie” is an element of data that we send to your browser when you link to our website.  It is not a computer program and has no ability to read data residing on your computer or instruct it to perform any step or function.  Our cookie does not extract Personal Information.  Our cookie also acts to verify you as a unique visitor to the website and allows you to access your information in a safe and secure manner.

If you are using this website to enroll or to waive off your school’s health plan, or to access information and services related to the health plan, please review the “Notices of Privacy Practices” which is available to you via a link on your school’s webpage.  These notices describes how Wellfleet or the insurance carrier may use and disclose your personal health and financial information when administering your benefits, and explains your legal rights. 

  • For Employees:

If you receive benefits through a group health insurance plan, your employer will be able to tell you if your plan is insured or self-funded. If your plan is self-funded, you may want to ask for a copy of your employer’s privacy notice if you do not see it available herein. You should read this notice before enrolling in a particular plan.
