What information do we collect?

CHP utilizes session variables on some transactions, such as enrollment confirmation, to enable users to utilize this website. A “session” is a server-side storage of information that operates during your interaction with the CHP website or CHP programs. During a session your computer would store only the “session id” allowing more significant information to be stored on the CHP server. When your browser is closed this session’s information disappears. It is not stored here or on your pc or mobile device.

It is not a computer program and has no ability to read data residing on your computer or instruct it to perform any step or function. Our cookie does not extract Personal Information. If you are using this website to enroll or to waive off your school’s health plan, or to access information and services related to the health plan, please review the “Notices of Privacy Practices” which is available to you via a link on your school’s webpage. These notices describes how CHP or the insurance carrier may use and disclose your personal health and financial information when administering your benefits, and explains your legal rights.
- For Employees:
If you receive benefits through a group health insurance plan, your employer will be able to tell you if your plan is insured or self-funded. If your plan is self-funded, you may want to ask for a copy of your employer’s privacy notice if you do not see it available herein. You should read this notice before enrolling in a particular plan.
